Hi..
Cooking time :30 mints|| preparation time 10 mints || serves 3 persons
Ingredients:-
Basmati rice - 2 cups
Water - 3 cups
Carrot 2 (chopped)
Beans 4 (chopped)
Green peas – ½ cup
Potato (medium size) – 1 (Cut into small cubes)
Cashew nuts – 10
Badam – 8
Raisons (dry kiss miss) – 8
sweet corn (1/2 cup)
Green chillies - 5 or to taste
Onion - 1 lengthwise chopped
Ginger garlic paste 1 tspn
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
Cinnamon 2 - 1 inch sticks
Cardamom - 2
Clove – 4
Ghee (clarified butter) - 6 tsp
Coriander leaves – few
Procedure:-
. First clean and wash the rice with plenty of water.Then soak the rice with 1 cup water for ½ an hour.
. Heat the skillet with ghee.
. Add cashew nuts, badam, raisons, cinnamon, cardamom and clove .(all whole garam masala).Sauté for few mints.
. Then add onions and green chillies.Fry till onions they turn into slight brown color.Add ginger garlic paste n saute for 1 more minute.
. Next add tomatoes, carrots, beans, potato cubes , peas and sweet corn.Combine well..sauté for 5 minutes.
. Now add rice, 3 cups of water, coriander leaves,and salt.
. Close the skillet cooker with a lid..cook till the rice is done.
. Serve hot with onion curd raitha.
Note:-
Using rice cooker is best to make any rice recipes..if u use rice cooker..do all the suating in the skillet n when done..tranfer the content to rice cooker n add water salt n coriander leaves..n place the lid..the rice cooked in rice cooker wont become sticky.

Did u add rice along with soaked 1 cup water?

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I didn’t add The soaked water along with the rice..i just add one cup of water for soaking the rice after washing…While adding the rice in vegetables , i added soaked rice with out water..sauted it for sometime like for 5 mints and added water to rice in the ratio of 1:2.
