Egg masala /Guddu masala kura


Serves : 4 persons || time taken : 20 minutes


Eggs  4

onions 2

green chillies 5

Ginger garlic paste 1 spoon

Tomatoes 2

garam masala powder 1tspn

turmeric powder 1 tspn

red chilli powder 1 tspn

salt to taste

Oil 4 spoons for frying eggs                                  

Tadka /Talimpu / Seasoning :-

oil 3 spoons

Chana dal 1 spoon  ( pachi senaga pappu)

urad dal 1 spoon  (mina pappu)

mustard seeds 1spoon (aavalu)

jeera 1 spoon  (jeelakarra)


  • Boil the eggs and de shell them .
  • Chop the onions ,green chillies and tomatoes.
  • Heat 3 spoons of oil in a skillet and  add the chana dal , urad dal , mustard seeds and cumin seeds ..saute till the mustard seeds spilts.
  • Add chopped onions and green chillies and saute for few minutes till the onions are half cooked and become transparent..Now add ginger garlic paste and saute for another minute till the raw smell goes..Now add chopped tomatoes and saute till the tomatoes are cooked.
  • In the mean while make long splits to egg with egg shell , heat 4 spoons of oil in another small vessel and fry the eggs to nice golden color.
  • Add red chilli powder ,turmeric powder,salt and garam masala powder to the curry and saute for few mints till the oil oozes out and curry gets cooked..Now add the fried eggs to the curry and mix it well..cover it with lid and let it cook on very low flame for few minutes and off the flame.

The garam masala powder whether it is store brought one or home made one..if it is grinded with 3 or 4 garlic cloves  gives very nice can store this grinded powder in fridge n use when ever wanted.
